Joining us from Washington state, Alana has jumped on board to take over softball for Sanfilippo Baseball. Norman played collegiatly at the University of Mary a Division II in North Dakota.
As a Freshman Alana started 43-of-43 games, 3rd on team with .317 batting average, 3rd on team with 40 hits, led team with two triples and hit her first home-run. Sophomore season she was second on the team in hits with 65 and recorded a batting average of .337.
She wasn’t done yet. Junior year Norman led the team with a .404 batting average, which was ninth best in conference. Also led the team with 42 stolen bases, 76 hits, 42 runs scored, and 14 walks. Recorded four doubles and one triple to go with 19 RBI.
For her career, Alana ranks fourth in U-Mary Division II history with a .354 career batting average, eighth with a .405 OBP, sixth with 104 runs, eighth with 181 hits, seventh in triples with five, and first in stolen bases with 92.
